It's officilal, Chick-fil-a is about to break ground for thier first Central New York locaction. Currently, the closed Chick-fil-a is in Scranton, PA at the Univercity of Scranton. The closest free standing restraunt is in Erie, PA.
It will be located at 7932 Brewerton Road (US Route 11) right in front of Home Depot. The sytle of the building will be differnt than the trade-mark building like the one in this picture. But, it is sure to still catch the eye of Chick-fil-a fans. Vertualy every survey around, from Consumer Reports to CNN put Chick-fil-a, not only at the top of the list of chicken restruants, but all fast food restraunts in North America.
More important than the taste of thier food, is the principles the company is built on. Sicne its founding in 1946 by S. Truett Cathy, the family owned chan still follows Biblical principals in all they do. That includes closing on Sunday. It is interesting to note, that they still make more per restraunt in six days than KFC, McDonald's, or Burger King make in seven.
The develper hopes to break ground in April and be opened somethime in early summer. Also scheduled ot open this summer is a location near Rochester, NY. For once, Syracuse came first!! In the meantime, you might as well get use to the
cows, the stars of most of Chick-fil-a's commercials.
